Latch pin that fits the E2 Type 12 (Black, Silver, e2 Gold), and E-2 (e SERIES™) version Rainbow systems.
One side is rough, and the other side is smooth. Use a small hammer and punch to hit the smooth side to remove. The rough side is what cuts into the plastic to hold into place.

"I ordered a latch, spring and pin for a D4 Rainbow vac. The pin sent was about 1/2 inch too short. I'm not sure whether I perhaps ordered the wrong pin or if the wrong one was sent, but I glad I saved the old one because that's the one I had to use after straightening it. Otherwise the replacement latch is now installed and working well."
