  "Not a tight fit at the base. I can feel air flow coming through, therefore a loss of suction. Was really hoping to be able to continue using my Rainbow vacuum but this just doesn't fit properly."

  The issue is not the hose, it sounds more like the faceplate on the front of the Rainbow is broken, and not holding the hose coupling tight. Call our tech team at 301-791-9670.
