"Got this item on a whim. Have had my e-series since 2003, and never had an issue with hearing a whistle noise when running my Rainbow without a hose. I've known about this part since I got the Rainbow, and finally decided to get it. On low speed it does muffle the girgle sound slightly, and on high speed it changes the sound slightly, however the Rainbow is so loud on its own, I didn't notice much difference. I do like the way it makes the Rainbow look as it compliments the shape of the body and covers up the hole that the hose would attach to. I would recommend it to anyone who has a Rainbow."
