This item has been discontinued and must be replaced with the improved design R4101.
The spider sets under the separator and works directly with the separator. The R4101 spider and the R4100 separator was one of the upgrades when the D4 Special Edition (SE) Rainbow was introduced in 1990.
The spider, separator, and separator nut must all be purchased if you are replacing an original R1976 spider from a model D4 or D3C Rainbow. If you have an R1976 currently, then order an R4100, R4101 and H555.
