D3, D2, and D Rainbow Motor Support Ring

This Large rubber mounting ring screws to the main housing of your D3C, D3A, D2A, D2 or D model Rainbow and also mounts with the R747 flange to the motor.
In the late 1970s', Rexair has a version of a motor support ring/water pan gasket, R1404, that combined this R599 motor support ring, with the R912 water pan gasket. (See image two)
We think this was a very short run, due to a loss in airflow and performance. There is no record we have found in old service manuals that discuss this part.

"The ring in the machine had flattened and lost its bowl seal. Because it is 40 some years old, I thought I would have to say a few words and lay it to rest in Rainbow heaven. But as the end seemed near, RainVac just happened to have one. Used yes but beggars can't be choosy. It arrive fairly quickly and after.install measurements showed over 1/16" difference in height. Sure enough, with my luck, when I installed the bowl and latched it down, a latch broke, ERRRRRRRR.Well, back to RainVac, they're on their way, Thank you RainVac for sourcing obsolete parts for a great machine. On my list next are the motor bearings, I hope they are available too. Long live a Rainbow"
